Tropical Hotel - Athens

Opt for a room not facing the main road for quieter nights. Ask about local dining options which are limited.

Nothing! The Hotel is a waste of time and money! My vacation was ruied because of this stupid hotel.

The staff are unfriendly, very rude, they dont know how to treat guest and tourists. The rooms are small, the sound of the fan is loud, no english tv channels, the bathroom drain leaks, there is no room for 2 bags. It faces a public beach which only locals swim in, and its far from the air port and the center. I do no recommend this hotel at all!! And by the way the pool is like 1 x 2 (kiddie pool).

The location close to the beach was prime.

The room was spacious with a mini fridge and a lovely coffee machine. I really enjoyed the easy access to two beautiful beaches where we relaxed and soaked up the sun. Just a heads up, the food choices at breakfast could be broader, but the donuts were a hit! 🍩

Hotel is small and very new and well kept. The express bus from the airport (X96)stops right outside the door (assuming you know at which stop to get off). Excellent value for the room as I paid only half the regular price.

The restaurant had a very limited and overpriced menu-fine for breakfast, and it is only open for very limited hours--and no alternative in the immediate area--not what you expect for 4 or 5 stars!

Not ideal for couples

The beach was right there, just a short walk across a busy road.

The rate was on the higher end but still okay.

All in all, it's newly renovated place that has extremely helpful staff on service and help. The location is nice and fantastic, and the area is pretty quiet within short walking distance of restaurants and bars.

Nicely renovated room, very modern and comfortable, with very nice bathroom and those little things that made you feel at home. The view from the private balcony was great and so was the breeze that made us feel wonderful despite of the very hot day. The beach just in front of the hotel is very convenient and it is also easy to take bus to Athens or to the airport. The room has double windows that helps to reduce the noise from the street. We got a reduced price for the weekend, so it was a great plus and the best hotel we got this time in Greece.

One of the windows in our room had a problem (it was not made in the right measure, so there was a small passage for the sound) so despite of the double glass we heard some noise from the street. There is heavy traffic there 24 h a day, but I believe that other rooms should have not that problem.

The view was fantastic. Staff was very helpful & polite. Location is very good as it's easy to get to anywhere you want. Breakfast was very good & the breakfast room has a nice sea view. The price for the room was reasonable. I enjoyed staying there.

When I book a double room I would prefer to have a normal double bed instead of two singles sticking to each other.

We enjoyed the fine views of the sea during breakfast and the easy access to the beach right across the road. The shuttle to Glyfada was super convenient for getting around, and the kids loved the nearby park for some outdoor fun.

In my wife's opinion, the noise from the busy road was bothersome during the night.

The rooms were neat and fantastic as for me, with a massive terrace...

Breakfast featured a tempting array, including fresh fish, a highlight. The noise from the busy road impacted the overall tranquility, and the limited dining options left much to be desired, with the quality falling short.

The Junior Suite had outdated amenities, yet offered great check-in convenience.

The view was excellent. The girl in the reception polite and friendly. It is a calm and friendly hotel in general with no strange extra charges.

I didnt like the coffee at breakfast. The breakfast room and bar as well are not nice as design but the sea view from there is really beautiful.
